On September 11, Resolute employees proudly presented cheques for $75,000 each to the Fondation du Centre Maria-Chapdelaine and the Fondation du Domaine-du-Roy, supporting hospitals in Dolbeau-Mistassini and Roberval (Quebec). The funds were raised through the 2021 Resolute Golf Classic, held September 22 in Montreal. Over 100 golfers, including Resolute employees, suppliers and friends, came together for the event – a welcome change from last year’s virtual edition.
The cheque presentation ceremony was attended by representatives from the beneficiary foundations and several local elected officials. Members of Resolute’s executive team were also present, including Remi G. Lalonde, president and chief executive officer. Mr. Lalonde expressed his thanks to the golfers, and his appreciation toward Resolute’s partners, whose participation “demonstrates that our relationships go beyond strictly business.” He also acknowledged the exceptional work of the hospital foundations, who, “through their commitment and dedication, are able to offer quality care and vital support to communities in these difficult times.”
Since 2012, the Resolute Golf Classic has raised over $1,000,000 for healthcare systems in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region. It is gratifying to be able to contribute to people’s health and well-being in a region where so many Resolute employees and their families live and work.
Kudos to the community-minded Resolute employees and partners who helped make this year’s donation possible!
