Resolute Marks World Humanitarian Day

Each year on August 19, the United Nations celebrates World Humanitarian Day – a global celebration of the remarkable people dedicating their lives in service to others. The focus of this year’s World Humanitarian Day is the immediate human cost of the climate crisis. At Resolute, our climate action takes several key forms, from dramatically reducing greenhouse gas emissions to producing green energy. Resolute also recognizes the urgent need to support vulnerable people in the communities where we operate. That’s why we provided over $1.1 million in donations and sponsorships in 2020, including $270,000 specifically for aid related to the COVID-19 pandemic. We also donated significant volumes of essential supplies, such as facemasks, bath tissue and paper towels.

We salute the heroic efforts of every individual, organization and community taking action on climate, and supporting one another in myriad ways.
