Scholarship Recipients Tour Resolute’s Thunder Bay Mill

Each year, our Thunder Bay (Ontario) operations provide scholarships for students who are related to Resolute employees working in the pulp and paper mill, sawmill or woodlands operations.

Not only does this scholarship program encourage community and employee engagement, it seeks to inspire young students to consider a career in the forest products industry.

On July 4th, the 2019 scholarship recipients toured the pulp and paper mill, gaining insight into how our Thunder Bay operations contribute to the community and local economy. They also learned more about the wide range of job opportunities Resolute offers at the local level, as well as at corporate and across our North American facilities.

Congratulations to these outstanding students and 2019 scholarship recipients: (left to right) Evee Hamilton, Maaja Sepa, Megan Kovac, Paul Stoppel and Justin Caruso. Also pictured on the right is Andrew Bishop, assistant controller Thunder Bay mill.
