On June 6-7, a team of ten Resolute employees from across Quebec ran the Saguenay−Lac-Saint-Jean Ultramarathon, raising C$31,000 toward childhood cancer research and support.
The two-day relay race is an annual event benefitting the local chapter of Leucan, an organization that funds clinical research and provides resources to young cancer patients and their families. The fundraiser also benefits the Fondation École secondaire de l’Odyssée Lafontaine/Dominique-Racine, which supports students in need from a local high school.
The Ultramarathon 300 participants ran in relays for over 32 hours covering 300 kilometres of roads around the Saguenay−Lac-Saint-Jean region. This is the fourth year that Resolute employees have participated in the Ultramarathon and the 10th year the event has been held. Congratulations to everyone for helping achieve the Ultramarathon’s goal of raising $200,000 on behalf of young cancer patients.
