Resolute has received three 2018 Stevies® from the International Business Awards® (IBA), including gold for Health, Safety and Environment Program of the Year for all of the United States and Canada for the second year in a row.
We were awarded a silver Stevie in the category of Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year (U.S. and Canada), in recognition of our lumber donations and support of relief efforts for victims of the devastating hurricanes that hit the Southern United States and Puerto Rico last year.
We also won a bronze Stevie in the Communications or PR Campaign of the Year – Community Relations category (international) for the many strong partnerships we have built with First Nations communities.
The awards will be presented in London (United Kingdom) on October 20 during the 15th International Business Awards gala.
We are proud of the many Resolute employees who contributed to earning this prestigious international recognition. Their efforts demonstrate our commitment to the health and safety of our workforce, as well as our focus on building strong partnerships with the communities where we live and work.
Employees can take pride in these comments from Stevie judges:
“Outstanding! I am impressed with the work done so far by this organization; its leadership, discipline and culture are very inspirational. I fully support any health, safety and environment initiatives, and Resolute has exceeded my expectations. This program should serve as an example for other large organizations.”
“Your focus on health, safety and environment is incorporated into everything you do – from your core values, to your training and performance programs to your focus on regulatory compliance. In addition, you have identified areas where you seek to go above and beyond what is required. Great job in identifying what is important and then driving it through all aspects of your business.”
“[Resolute’s] safety, environmental incident and employee-focused programs were commendable, especially with future improvement goals.”
The IBAs are an international, all-encompassing business awards program recognizing outstanding performance in the workplace. Award submissions are evaluated over two months. During the judging, each entry is reviewed and rated by no fewer than five judges, mainly international business executives, who have been approved by Stevie Awards staff. The 2018 competition attracted more than 3,900 nominations from organizations of all types across 74 countries. For more information about the IBA and Stevie awards, visit www.stevieawards.com/IBA.
